Bell Bottoms were extremely popular in the 1960's and 1970's.


Bell Bottoms are pants that become wider below the knee. Although they originated with sailors, bell bottom pants as fashion really took off in the 1960's and 1970's.


Sonny and Cher helped popularize bell bottoms on their popular television show in the early 1970's.

Bell bottoms were made in a wide variety of patterns and materials, and in the 70's, the look wasn't complete without platform shoes.
